iHeartMedia Tallahassee/Panama City enters into a broadcast agreement with Florida State University and its multimedia rightsholder Learfield IMG College to be the official play-by-play home of the Seminoles.

As part of the six-year agreement, country WTNT-FM Tallahassee (94.9) will carry Seminoles football for the 2020-2021 season; FSU men’s basketball will air on rock clustermate “X-101.5” WXSR; women’s basketball on classic hip-hop “Throwback 96.5” WTLY, which airs on the Tallahassee-licensed translator W243EG at 96.5; and Seminoles baseball will air on Tallahassee talker WFLA-FM (100.7).

It’s a return to WTNT-FM for the Seminoles. The station carried Seminoles football games before moving to Adams Radio Group country WWOF (103.1). Seminoles football continues on talk/sports WFLF-FM Panama City (94.5).

“We’re extremely excited to once again be partnering with Learfield IMG College and have the FSU Seminoles return to our iHeart Tallahassee stations,” Market President Paul Rogers said in a release. “With our massive reach and our multiple platforms throughout Florida, we have the ability to promote the FSU athletics program to communities across the state.”

In addition to play-by-play coverage, the participating stations will have access to team coaches with pre-and post-game comments on each broadcast and weekly coach’s shows.

“Tallahassee and our surrounding areas are all about Florida State sports, so it was imperative for us to be able to provide that for our local listeners if we wanted to continue to be the leading media company in our markets,” Senior VP/Programming John Lund added.
