Advocating for the Collegiate Athletics Enterprise

LEARFIELD has served as an advocate for the collegiate athletics enterprise for nearly 50 years

We are proud and long-term supporters of organizations like NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics), LEAD1, the Collegiate Sports Summit, Collegiate Athletic Leadership Symposium, and Women Leaders in College Sports.  We give back to the industry through support of the prestigious LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup (formerly Learfield IMG College). In 2014, we launched our annual Minority Academy with NACDA-affiliated Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) to elevate growth and educational development for women and men in the collegiate sector. universities.  We are the title sponsor for the LEARFIELD Intercollegiate Athletics Forum in conjunction with SportsBusiness Journal providing educational and networking opportunities for the collegiate sports community.

EDGE Academy

Since its inception in 2014, EDGE Academy (formerly the Learfield IMG College Minority Academy) has been considered by many to be a one-of-a-kind event designed to foster growth and development in the collegiate sports business. It elevates growth and educational development in the collegiate sector for women and men of color through a business practicum and training content. Traditionally held in LEARFIELD’s headquarters in Plano, Texas, the Academy is in partnership with MOAA.
