Andrew Kossoff, Owen Shull, Mark Winneker Join Team Dedicated to Connecting Universities with Blue-Chip Brands

PLANO, Texas – Learfield has bolstered its Campus+ team that is solely committed to developing fully integrated best-in-class partnerships between universities and brands.

In a recent move, the company has added Andrew Kossoff, Owen Shull and Mark Winneker as Campus+ vice presidents. Collectively they bring significant expertise in areas of sports marketing, sales, corporate relationships, strategic leadership and revenue growth having served with iconic brands within intercollegiate athletics and reputable Fortune 500 corporations. The newly formed team will work closely with Learfield Executive Vice President Solly Fulp, who is charged with leading these transformative partnerships for company university partners and brands.

Kossoff spent 15 years representing The Ohio State University, with his most recent role as associate vice president of business advancement for the university, responsible for expanding OSU’s strategic partnerships, affinity marketing and sponsorship programs. He also is the Buckeyes’ former assistant athletics director (2004-09) and former vice president and general manager for Ohio State IMG Sports Marketing (2009-12). Prior to serving with his alma mater, Kossoff served five years as vice president, business development for the MLS Columbus Crew at Hunt Sports Group.

Shull, with more than 20 years of intercollegiate athletics experience, started at Florida State, where he assisted in sales and marketing initiatives while earning his master’s degree in sports administration. He then held director-level marketing and sales positions respectively for Kentucky, SMU and Vanderbilt athletic administrations. Shull formerly served 10 years with IMG College, as general manager for Southern Miss Sports Properties, followed by a six-year stint as vice president, general manager for Georgia Tech Sports Properties. The former chief revenue officer for Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl managed all sales and revenue operations (2011-14) and played a vital role in the move and re-opening of the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. Prior to Learfield, Shull was chief executive officer for Intersect Partners, which he founded in 2016 to provide consulting and sales leadership for sports and entertainment properties, representing such clients as the College Football Playoff, Independence Bowl, Gridiron Now, PGA Tour, Atlanta Dream, National Collegiate Sports Archives (NCSA), and Cox Media Group (DieHards).

Winneker got his career start with The Coca-Cola Company, where he was a region manager responsible for sports and entertainment strategy and execution for central U.S. and Eastern Canada. He also served nearly 10 years with Dallas agency The Marketing Arm, as director-consulting (1999-2004) and senior vice president (2006-10) leading sponsorship platforms for brands such as Office Depot, Heinz, AT&T, Nokia, Nissan, HP, Chili’s and State Farm. He served nearly three years as vice president for Mosaic Sales Solutions in Dallas, building out its experiential marketing capability, and is former president of PPI Marketing, a full-service integrated marketing company.
