HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Athletics, through Norse Sports Properties, a Learfield property, and iHeart Media have reached an agreement for NKU men’s basketball games radio broadcasts to reside on iHeart’s stable of stations in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market through the 2022-23 season.

“Extending this partnership with iHeart Media is a great opportunity to continue to expand the brand of Norse basketball and recognize our men’s and women’s basketball programs regionally,” said Ken Bothof, Northern Kentucky University Director of Athletics. “Having our men’s basketball radio broadcasts and the coaches show air primarily on the iHeart stations provides valuable exposure as our programs continue to grow.”

Northern Kentucky’s games will continue to air on ESPN1530, FOXSports1360, 55KRC and The Project (100.7/106.3 FM). In addition, the NKU Basketball Coaches Show held at Dickmann’s Sports Café with men’s basketball head coach John Brannen and women’s basketball head coach Camryn Whitaker will air on the stations.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with Northern Kentucky University and Norse Basketball on iHeartRadio through this on-going partnership between Learfield and iHeartMedia Cincinnati,” said DJ Hodge, market president, iHeart Markets Group Cincinnati. “NKU’s transition to Division I has been a tremendous success, with last year’s initial appearance in the Men’s Basketball Tournament as a prime example, and we are very pleased to be able to continue to deliver Norse Basketball to their growing legions of fans, both locally and regionally, through the 2022-23 season!”

iHeart Media has broadcast NKU men’s basketball games during the program’s ascension into the NCAA Division I era, which included the team’s first NCAA DI Tournament appearance last year in just its first season eligible. Under Brannen’s guidance, the Norse have gone 43-18 in the last two seasons and currently sit in first place in the Horizon League standings.
