LARAMIE, Wyo. – The University of Wyoming Athletics Department and LEARFIELD, the leading media and technology company powering college athletics, have announced a long-term extension to their relationship for multimedia rights management and the company’s Paciolan ticketing and marketing platform. The extension of these agreements combined with Wyoming’s current use of LEARFIELD’s digital solutions provider, SIDEARM Sports, will ensure that Wyoming continues to have access to the most comprehensive fan data and integrated athletic solutions in the industry.

Locally based Wyoming Sports Properties, led by General Manager Brad Poe, will continue to have daily oversight over the LEARFIELD relationship, working alongside Athletics Director Tom Burman to help drive Wyoming’s strategy and innovation in the areas of brand sponsorships, NIL, original content, and fan engagement.

“We’ve been a long-time partner with LEARFIELD, and it has been a very positive, productive partnership,” said Burman. “With all the changes in the MMR space, it was important for us to go out and take a fresh look at what was the best fit for the University of Wyoming.  After careful consideration and thorough reviews, LEARFIELD is the best partner for us in 2023 and moving forward. I would also like to show our appreciation to LEONA for serving as a trusted advisor during these discussions.”

Partners since 2005, Wyoming and LEARFIELD will continue to collaborate in expanding relationships with local and national sponsors. Additionally, LEARFIELD’s integration of ticket sales, website, and mobile app services will deliver unmatched data and insight into the Wyoming fanbase to help develop customized athletic solutions, elevating the Wyoming brand and deepening the connection to passionate Cowboys fans.

“It is a privilege to work with Tom and the entire team at Wyoming as we pursue our commitment to delivering opportunities for growth to the UW Athletics department,” said Mike Hamilton, LEARFIELD Executive Vice President, University Partnership Group. “We are honored to extend our long-standing relationship and look forward to continuing to help power Wyoming’s goal of enhancing the experience of student-athletes, brand partners and Cowboys fans alike.”

In addition to its athletic partnership, LEARFIELD also represents Wyoming’s College Rodeo team. College Rodeo is LEARFIELD’s latest business line dedicated to elevating the sport of college rodeo. The rodeo team at Wyoming was designated an anchor program when College Rodeo was announced in June 2023.
