“As we launch into our second year of UConn+, we’re poised to further entertain and inform UConn fans by telling the stories of our top teams, student athletes, and rich athletic history,” said Tom Murphy, general manager for LEARFIELD’s UConn Sports Properties, the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder. “This unique platform will not only strengthen the ties among the incredible Huskies community, but also provide advertisers unparalleled opportunities to connect with our passionate fans through the stories and excitement of college athletics.”

UConn+ launched last January, a first-of-its-kind endeavor in college athletics to combine live and original content. It surfaces original and exclusive content to fans such as features, live events, profiles, coaches’ shows, highlights and other on-demand content.

The first year of UConn+ was a smashing success with content receiving over 25 million impressions and 3.7 million views. The women’s basketball series, The Standard, garnered over 3.5 million impressions and season one of UConn football’s The Breakdown achieved over 600k impressions in a single week.

The UConn+ platform is available via web browsers at UConnPlus.tv  and on television via major video streaming services Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku, which serve more than 90 percent of the streaming video marketplace.
