DALLAS, TX – The athletic departments of Texas A&M University and the University of Arkansas announce Cotton Holdings, Inc. as the presenting sponsor of the Southwest Classic in an agreement supported by athletics multimedia rights holder LEARFIELD – the media and technology company powering college sports. Cotton Holdings will present the Southwest Classic in 2023 and 2024.

The Southwest Classic highlights the longstanding rivalry between the Aggie and Razorback football programs – a rivalry that dates back 120 years. This year’s game returns to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, September 30.

“The Cotton family has long recognized the importance of this historic rivalry for both players and fans,” said Pete Bell, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cotton Holdings, Inc. “We are honored to keep this incredible tradition alive as the first-ever presenting sponsor for the legendary Southwest Classic game, and we look forward to cheering on the Aggies in iconic AT&T Stadium.”

Cotton’s agreement with Texas A&M also includes a home game sponsorship, field-level brand placements in Kyle Field and an LED banner spanning the stadium. In addition, Cotton has signed a “Name, Image and Likeness” (NIL) deal with sophomore QB Conner Weigman.

“We’re thrilled to announce this one-of-a-kind partnership between Texas A&M Athletics and Cotton Holdings,” said Erik Book, General Manager of LEARFIELD’s Texas A&M Sports Properties. “With a season-long presence at Kyle Field and as the first-ever presenting sponsor of the Southwest Classic, Cotton Holdings is sure to garner the attention of the 12th Man.”
