Kansas City, Mo.—Women Leaders in College Sports (Women Leaders) has announced a renewed relationship with LEARFIELD, the media and technology company powering intercollegiate athletics, for 2023 that aligns the two organizations’ efforts to develop, support and retain women working in college sports.

The elevated partnership includes enhanced participation in the 2023 Institute for Advancement and Convention, as well as talent recruitment through the Women Leaders Career Connect platform. Additionally, Women Leaders will share leadership development content with the women of LEARFIELD through an exclusive session.

“We are thrilled to have LEARFIELD renew as a Champion level partner of our 2023 National Convention”, said Patti Phillips, CEO of Women Leaders in College Sports. “Through this relationship with LEARFIELD, we hope to support LEARFIELD female talent development and work side by side to bring awareness to our members about the many opportunities to work in sports and with innovative and supportive organizations like LEARFIELD.

As part of this renewed collaboration, LEARFIELD will host a National Convention education session on the topic of careers in college sports beyond campus. The National Convention programming will also feature senior women leaders from the LEARFIELD family sharing insights on leadership, talent recruitment, and career strategy.

“We are proud to continue our support of Women Leaders, as both of our organizations remain obsessively committed to powering diversity in college athletics,” said Cole Gahagan, CEO and President of LEARFIELD. “At LEARFIELD, we’re creating more opportunities for women to lead throughout the business of college sports, and we have every expectation that our partnership with Women Leaders will help expand access to resources and mentorships, allowing both organizations to develop women leaders of the future.”

Women Leaders and LEARFIELD will continue to work in tandem to recruit women to the industry and equip them with leadership skills as they continue to change the landscape of the sports industry.
