LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Director of Athletics Erick Harper announced Wednesday that the Rebels’ long-standing relationship with Learfield has been expanded, as July marked the start of a new agreement with its exclusive multimedia rights partner.
The Rebels’ comprehensive agreement and corporate partner platform is managed by Learfield’s local UNLV Sports Properties team, led by industry veteran General Manager Dan Dolby. The new agreement, which is the first of its kind signed by Harper, is grounded in data analytics and a deeper understanding of the Rebel supporters through the addition of Fanbase – the largest data and analytics platform in college athletics. Learfield’s Fanbase will serve as a valuable tool for UNLV Athletics. The rich insights and data shared will provide unprecedented opportunities in extended fan engagement for sponsors, as well as new revenue growth throughout the athletics department.
“We are excited to extend our partnership with Learfield,” said Harper. “This relationship extends beyond business and provides a source of revenue that enables UNLV Athletics to enhance the student-athlete experience in a holistic way. General Manager Dan Dolby is invested in UNLV and the community of Las Vegas and committed to helping advance the mission of UNLV Athletics. This key partnership on both a national and local level is mutually beneficial and makes us better up and down the department.”
In the new term, Dolby will continue serving as the primary Learfield liaison for the school. UNLV Sports Properties works closely with the entire athletics administration on all initiatives and sponsorships as it has since the start of the relationship in 2017. In addition to multimedia rights, Learfield represents the Rebels via its owned companies Paciolan (ticketing); CLC (licensing); SIDEARM Sports (website/app) and Learfield Amplify for in-venue seating needs.
“We’re proud to represent and leverage the UNLV brand through multiple business lines within Learfield,” said Mike Hamilton, Learfield Executive Vice President, University Partnership Group. “Erick is a terrific leader, and he’s done an exceptional job guiding the Rebels. We appreciate the opportunity to expand and continue our strategic partnership with UNLV, and we’re eager to continue providing Athletics critical guidance and solutions as the industry evolves.”
