FORT COLLINS, Colo. – LEARFIELD, Colorado State’s longtime athletics multimedia rightsholder, appointed Ben Lucas general manager for its local Rams Sports Properties team dedicated to CSU.
Lucas returned to Fort Collins earlier this month, having served nearly a year as general manager for LEARFIELD’s Jackrabbit Sports Properties team at South Dakota State University. Lucas previously served seven years as Rams Sports Properties’ senior manager for business development. He returned to the Colorado State-dedicated property to assume the general manager position, representing his alma mater.
As Rams Sports Properties’ general manager, Lucas will serve as the primary LEARFIELD liaison related to the comprehensive multimedia rights agreement and corporate partner platform. He will work closely with Director of Athletics Joe Parker and the entire athletics administration.

Lucas has been with LEARFIELD 10 years and during that time has earned multiple awards for successful sales efforts. He also was named a 2020 “Northern Colorado 40 Under 40” honoree by BizWest. Lucas’ first role with LEARFIELD was serving as an account executive with the company’s local Bulldog Sports Properties at Fresno State. Prior to that, he worked four years as an account executive focusing on season and group ticket sales with the Denver Nuggets. Lucas is a 2007 Colorado State alumnus, earning a business administration degree with an emphasis in marketing.
