Unilever to Sponsor Upcoming Tour in support of Feeding America

Rock Hill, SC – American Cornhole League is excited to announce a new relationship with LEARFIELD to host a series of campus events for the ACL College mobile marketing tour in connection with 10 of college football’s biggest games this season. The nationwide tour, sponsored by Unilever in support of Feeding America, kicks off this Saturday in Gainesville. Throughout the tour there will be qualifying tournaments for college students, for entry into the 2021 National College Cornhole Championship hosted at the end of December. In addition to searching for the best college cornhole players, each stop will feature a LevelNext esports gaming lounge and an on-campus cornhole activation zone.

The tour comprises the following stops: Alabama vs Florida (9/18), Clemson vs NC State (9/25), USC vs Colorado (10/2), Alabama vs Texas A&M (10/9), LSU vs Ole Miss (10/23), Penn State vs Ohio State (10/30), Duke vs Virginia Tech (11/13), Florida vs Missouri (11/20), Clemson vs South Carolina (11/27), and the Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship (12/4). As part of the agreement with LEARFIELD, the ACL and AllCornhole have acquired college licensing rights for ACL Pro and ACL Comp boards and bags. These will be available on shop.iplayacl.com so fans can bring their favorite teams to their backyard.

“We’re delighted to partner with LEARFIELD in support of this year’s National College Cornhole Championship and fully expect the level of competition will be ratcheted up a notch with their participation,” said Stacey Moore, Founder of American Cornhole League. “College players across the country will have a chance to win a spot in this year’s National College Cornhole Championship – plus fans at every campus we stop at can take part in the game, and those at home have the opportunity to support their favorite teams with merchandise.”

“We’ve seen how the American Cornhole League has continued to grow its reach and penetration year-over-year, with a keen eye on the college level,” said LEARFIELD Executive Vice President & Managing Director Media and Partnerships Group Rick Barakat. “We’re proud to work closely with them this fall on a new tour to curate a fun, compelling mix of football and cornhole fandom with 10 of our premier college properties. We can’t wait to get things started with Alabama at Florida this Saturday and want to thank Unilever for their sponsorship.”

Currently 129 out of 200 Feeding America Network Food Banks are currently serving food-insecure college students in some capacity. Rising college costs have outpaced federal and state grant aid and, over time, have led to an increasing share of the cost being borne by students and their families. Meanwhile, the percentage of undergraduates who are from low-income households has increased. Together the American Cornhole League, Unilever and Feeding America believe this tour will attract much needed awareness around the need to support these college students.

“Unilever has been focused on supporting communities most in need throughout the pandemic and supporting Feeding America in providing 1 million meals is another step we’re proud to take,” said Rob Master, vice president of Media and Marketing, Unilever North America. “Giving back while being part of the National College Cornhole Championship is a win-win.”

The American Cornhole League hosts competition and tournaments across the amateur, collegiate, and pro ranks with thousands of players taking part every year. For additional information on how to participate visit iplaycornhole.com.
