BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo Athletics Department and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield IMG College, have announced today that UBMD Physicians’ Group will become the Official Medical Group of UB Athletics. As part of this multi-year partnership, UBMD will be the newest member of “Team UB” and will be represented throughout Alumni Arena and UB Stadium.
As the faculty practice for the Jacobs School of Medicine, UBMD has had long-standing affiliation with the university. UBMD’s physicians are professors and researchers at the University at Buffalo, advancing care and teaching the next generation of doctors.
As an integral partner in medical education and research, becoming a member of “Team UB” grows UBMD’s connection with the university and the community-at-large. UBMD Orthopedics and Sports Medicine have been the team doctors for all of the UB Athletics teams, and have worked as tremendous partners to achieve the highest level of safety and injury prevention.
