NAU Lumberjack Properties signs three-year deal with Lotus Communications
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Arizona University Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield IMG College’s NAU Lumberjack Sports Properties, are excited to announce a new broadcast relationship with Lotus Communications and ESPN Tucson KFFN-AM 1490/104.9 FM to air NAU football games for the next three seasons.
Lotus Communications-owned KFFN-AM/104.9 FM, an ESPN Radio affiliate, will carry all NAU football games for the next three years for the Lumberjack listening audience in the greater Tucson area. KFFN-AM 1490/104.9 FM will begin coverage this month beginning with the 2019 season opener vs. Missouri State on Thursday, August 29 (6 p.m. MST).
“We couldn’t be more pleased to have a presence in Southern Arizona with Tucson’s leading sports station, and we appreciate Todd Wyard his team for solidifying what we believe will be a great partnership over the next several seasons,” NAU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Marlow said.
“We’re very excited to be carrying NAU football on ESPN Tucson for the next three years,” ESPN Tucson KFFN-AM 1490/104.9 FM general manager Ken Kwilosz said. “There are plenty of Lumberjack alumni in Southern Arizona that will appreciate hearing the games broadcast live on our station, myself included. As the popularity of the Big Sky Conference and FCS football continues to grow, we are pleased to be the ones bringing it to Southern Arizona.”

ESPN Tucson KFFN-AM 1490/104.9 FM joins the Lumberjack Radio Network for football, which also includes Flagstaff’s KAFF Country Legends 93.5 FM/930 AM, Phoenix’s NBC Sports KDUS 1060 AM and Prescott’s 97.9 FM Eagle Rocks.
