DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson College named Lyft as the Official Ride Partner of the Davidson Wildcats, opening the door to easy transportation year round and free merchandise and ride credits.
Lyft’s partnership includes serving as Davidson’s preferred transportation option for Wildcat fans traveling to or from games and events. That includes new, designated Lyft locations around Belk Arena, home of the Atlantic 10 Champion Wildcats men’s basketball team.
To kickoff the new partnership, Lyft is offering $10 off three rides for new users with the code WILDCATPRIDE.
Students can catch special giveaways of Lyft merchandise and ride credits during men’s and women’s home basketball games.
The partnership, and the benefits to students, extend beyond game days. Lyft and Davidson College will offer safe ride programs and easy access to Lyft for students navigating the Davidson and Charlotte area while away from home.
Other upgrades to the fan experience at Wildcats’ games include new, state-of-the-art LED lighting in Belk Arena, Wi-Fi access throughout the arena, beers on tap at The Brickhouse Above the Rim in the Nisbet Lobby, an open-air, standing room concourse with large screen TVs, and new ticket options, ranging from new concourse standing room to exclusive court-side seating.

The Lyft partnership was secured by Learfield’s Davidson Sports Properties, the Wildcats’ exclusive multimedia rights-holder which will manage all aspects of the relationship.
