LYFT NAMED “OFFICIAL RIDE OF THE TEMPLE OWLS”
PHILADELPHIA – As the Temple Owls look to open the home portion of their 2017-18 basketball season, Temple University Athletics have named rideshare company Lyft a new corporate partner and “Official Ride of the Temple Owls” as announced today by Temple University Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, Learfield’s Temple Sports Properties. Lyft will be Temple’s preferred transportation option for Temple fans traveling to or from games and events.
To kickoff the new partnership, Lyft is offering $0.99 Lyft Line rides on Temple’s campus starting today through the end of the week, Friday, December 1st with the promo code “TUOWLS17”. Lyft Line allows passengers to save up to 60% by choosing to share a ride with others going their same direction. Also, new riders who use promo code “LETSGOOWLS” will receive up to $10 off their first ride.
At the games, students can look forward to a special Lyft VIP section atop the Cherry Zone student section. Fans can also expect to see Lyft “Rally Cam” video board promotions, as well as merchandise and ride credit giveaways at basketball games throughout the season. To make getting to and from events as seamless as possible, there will be Lyft in-app designated locations to improve the pickup and dropoff experience.
