Marquette Kids Club supports positive & educational messaging to children
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – UnitedHealthcare is joining Marquette Athletics and Learfield’s Marquette Sports Properties during the 2016-17 college basketball season as the exclusive sponsor of the Marquette Kids Club.
The collaboration is designed to promote positive messaging focused on fitness, wellness, education and healthy eating habits in the greater Milwaukee area.
The Marquette Kids Club will offer both complimentary and paid membership options that include activities and engagement opportunities at Marquette Athletics events. Complimentary tickets to various Marquette Athletics events (including men’s basketball games), Kids Club lanyards, pictures with the Marquette Golden Eagle mascot, Kids Club t-shirts, merchandise discounts and monthly prize drawings are included with a Kids Club membership. Updates on programming, healthy eating tips and fitness guidelines will be conveyed via email, digital and social media communication throughout the year.

Kids Club Information will be available at over 80 Marquette Athletics events including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse and women’s volleyball events during the college athletics season. Kids Club programming and activities will be available to members at many of those events.
One of the signature UnitedHealthCare Kids Club events this season is Milwaukee Public School Day at the Al McGuire Center.
Milwaukee Public School Day is an annual event held in conjunction with a Marquette women’s basketball game that draws over 3,000 students to the Al McGuire Center each year. Twenty-five public schools attended last year’s event. Free tickets, game-day activity worksheets, fitness activities and prizes are included in the game-day experience. This year’s Milwaukee Public School Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 21, when Marquette plays the University of New Mexico.
“UnitedHealthcare is grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the Marquette Kids Club and empower children throughout Wisconsin to enhance their education, improve their well-being and live healthier lives,” said Dustin Hinton, president and CEO, UnitedHealthcare of Wisconson.
“We’re excited to partner with UnitedHealthcare on our Kids Club initiatives this year,” said Brian Hardin, Deputy Athletic Director at Marquette. “Education has always been a focus at Marquette, but we strive to offer opportunities for instruction and learning inside and outside the classroom. Embracing healthy choices and a healthy lifestyle are important objectives that we endorse for our students, faculty, alumni and fans. We appreciate UnitedHealthcare’s support and partnership as we increase the exposure and programming to children, families and schools throughout the state.”
