CORAL GABLES, Fla. – In coordination with Miami Athletics and Learfield Sports’ Hurricane Sports Properties, Air Europa has agreed to a three-year partnership as the Preferred International Airline of The U.
In what marks its first foray into collegiate sports marketing, Air Europa will promote its brand on Miami Hurricane social media platforms, including the chance for fans to win one of eight free round-trip flights to Spain throughout the basketball season. The airline also will be featured on venue signage during baseball games at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field and basketball games inside BankUnited Center.
“We, at Air Europa, would like to become part of the local community in South Florida and would like to help contribute all we can to the University of Miami in their pursuit of excellence,” said USA Managing Director, Air Europa Gerard Arino. “Being an Airline, we are committed to promote tolerance around the world and help make it easier to travel to Europe to Spain and beyond using the newest state of the art airplane Boeing 787 Dreamliner.”
Working with Learfield Sports and the decision to engage with the University of Miami is a part of Air Europa’s larger brand strategy – aiming to promote all values of sport which mirror the core pillars of the company and include personal effort, team building and the opportunity to serve one’s community.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Air Europa on board at the University of Miami,” said Hurricane Sports Properties General Manager Duffy House. “As the ‘Preferred International Airline of The U,’ Air Europa has shown its commitment to both the University and the local South Florida community. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership.”
