WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army Athletic Association and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield Sports’ Army Sports Properties, announced today a new five-year partnership with EnergIce®, the first-of-its kind, vitamin-enriched premium ice bar for sports hydration and energy.
“We are excited to partner with The United States Military Academy – one of the most recognized brands in the world and one whose core values directly align with our own”, stated IPC Beverage Group and EnergIce® CEO Glenn Firestone. “We look forward to providing Army Athletics and Cadets who train everyday with an innovative NSF Certified for Sport® product, a healthy way to rehydrate and replenish their bodies with essential nutrients expended during their rigorous preparation.”
EnergIce® of Rockville Centre, NY-based IPC Beverage Group, looks to partner for the first time with the cadet-athletes at The United States Military Academy at West Point. Beginning August 2014, the brand will receive corporate signage at select Army’s facilities, Michie Stadium for football; Tate Rink for hockey and Christl Arena for basketball. Additionally, EnergIce® will be an official digital partner for Army Athletics, receiving social media promotions to engage with Black Knights’ fans and benefit from considerable visibility via the official athletic website (www.goARMYsports.com). IPC Beverage Group’s EnergIce® will receive significant radio exposure via the Army Sports Network during multiple sports throughout the year, through the agreement term.
“We are excited about the growth of EnergIce and appreciate their support of our cadets,” said Army Director of Intercollegiate Boo Corrigan. “This is the start of a five year comprehensive relationship and we are looking forward to our partnership.”
