Bowling Green, OH – The Union Bank Company and Bowling Green State University Athletics jointly announced today the continuation of their partnership for a third consecutive year, as well as the launch of a brand-new promotion to run in conjunction with the football season.
Kicking off this fall, The Union Bank Company’s “Kid Captain of the Game” promotion will offer a unique experience for Falcon Football’s youngest fans. One winner will be chosen for each home game and receive a team jersey; four tickets to a home football game; on-field, pre-game access to watch the players warm-up; and the opportunity to stand alongside BGSU players for the coin toss. Each winning Kid Captain also will be recognized on the field before kick off. Parents are encouraged to register their children 12 years or younger, at any Union Bank Company location in Northwest Ohio.
“Partnering with BGSU athletics made a lot of sense for The Union Bank Company as educational and financial institutions’ efforts are vital to ensure Ohio’s continued economic recovery and sustained future growth,” said The Union Bank Company’s President Brian D. Young. “The Union Bank Company has and will continue to be part of that process in assisting our neighbors and friends in realizing their financial goals.”
Falcon Sports Properties, BGSU Athletics’ exclusive multimedia rights holder since 2007, secured the partnership with The Union Bank Company, which extends its involvement with the Falcons again this year.
“We are thrilled to partner with Union Bank and are excited about our new Kid Captain of the Game Program,” said Director of Athletics Greg Christopher. “It is an excellent way to showcase Union Bank and involve young children and expose them to big time college athletics. The Kid Captain of the Game program has become very popular among college and NFL teams, and we look forward to adding this initiative to our football game day.”
