LEARFIELD is now accepting applications for individuals interested in attending the 8th annual LEARFIELD EDGE Academy. Applicants can apply online here.

Formerly known as the LEARFIELD Minority Academy and held in partnership with the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA), this year’s hybrid EDGE Academy will provide a variety of engagement and networking opportunities with industry leaders across collegiate athletics.

If you are interested in building and supporting solutions that include data and brand management, multimedia rights representation, licensing, broadcasting, ticketing, and in-venue technology to name a few, then this could be the program for you.

The 2022 hybrid LEARFIELD EDGE Academy will host a stellar lineup of guest speakers representing intercollegiate athletics, sponsors, industry influencers, and business partners who will provide insights and access into the collegiate sports industry. There will also be an opportunity for this year’s participants to attend an in-person campus visit at one of LEARFIELD’s partner schools.

To be considered for the 2022 academic class, individuals must complete and submit the online application no later than September 30, 2022. The selection committee, comprised of members from both host organizations, will review all materials and choose up to 25 candidates based on their desire to work in sales, marketing, client management or technology.

Accepted participants will be notified by October 21, 2022.

Complete requirements are outlined on the online application. The additional criteria used for candidate selection are as follows:

  • Must have at least 1+ years of full-time work experience (current students, full-time graduate students, and interns will not be considered)
  • Meet the federal guideline for definition as a minority
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Submit the online application and include the additional documents
