HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison has partnered with NBC Sports Washington and Learfield IMG College to televise four upcoming spring sporting event dates, two each from women’s lacrosse and softball.
The TV schedule begins on March 20 with lacrosse hosting Virginia at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington Plus. Later that weekend, a softball doubleheader vs. Elon at 11 a.m. on March 23 and lacrosse vs. Maryland at 12:30 p.m. on March 24 will each air on NBC Sports Washington. Finally, NBC Sports Washington will air the softball doubleheader vs. Duke at 3 p.m. on April 17.
“We continually strive to maximize our opportunities to deliver live coverage of our sporting events to our growing fan base,” Director of Athletics Jeff Bourne said. “These are two high-achieving sports of great interest to our constituents, and this partnership with NBC Sports Washington expands and diversifies our overall television portfolio beyond our football offerings last fall. We are proud to promote the student-athlete experience at JMU to a wider audience.”
NBC Sports Washington’s coverage also includes availability on the network’s live streaming platform for the primary network channel broadcasts. All four dates can also still be viewed on JMU’s streaming platform, MadiZONE HD SportsNet presented by the JMU Alumni Association, as well as on CAA.tv.
