AT&T Red River Showdown

The first matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns took place in 1900. The storied football game is played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas as part of the annual State Fair of Texas. The 2020 meeting of the teams marks the 116th game between the two schools, and Texas leads the overall series with a record of 62-48-5.

The AT&T Red River Showdown is traditionally a sell-out year after year, and played on the first or second Saturday in October. The Texas/OU football game brings approximately 200,000 people to the State Fairgrounds on game day, with a total game attendance of 92,300.
