Considered to be a one-of-a-kind event, the Learfield IMG College Minority Academy is designed to foster minority growth and development in the college sports business. The application window for the 2019 Academy is now closed. This year’s 6th annual installment will be June 24-28, 2019 and again held in partnership with MOAA.
A committee comprised of members from both host organizations will closely reviews applications and choose 12 individuals. Those candidates will be notified by April 1.
The Academy features two and a half days of classroom educational sessions dedicated to sales training, best practices and professional development. These sessions are held at Learfield IMG College’s headquarters in Plano, Texas. The final two days allow attendees to shadow sales staff at a Division I collegiate institution, providing for ultimate engagement in the actual day-to-day operations of a multimedia rights relationship.
