Meka Morris, Larry Peters Join Learfield in Dallas and L.A. Respectively

PLANO, Texas – Learfield continues to bolster its national sales team with recent appointments of industry veterans Meka Morris as senior vice president and Larry Peters as vice president.

Morris, who joins Learfield in a newly created senior leadership position, is based in the company’s Texas headquarters. She will work closely with every member of the national sales team, located in select U.S. cities dedicated to helping brands align with the colleges, conferences and arenas Learfield represents. She is the former vice president, sales and marketing for Legends in New York City, where she primarily oversaw all related functions for one World Observatory at the top of One World Trade Center for four years. Morris’ prior experience also includes serving three years as director, sponsorship sales for Live Nation in Charlotte, N.C.; and as director of partnership sales for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets). Early in her professional career, Morris spent a total of six years in corporate sales and marketing roles with the NFL’s Oakland Raiders and NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.

Peters works from Learfield’s Los Angeles office, where he oversees the company’s national sales efforts on the West Coast. He previously served nearly six years as Live Nation’s vice president, media and sponsorship in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he was vice president global sales for Stratus Media Group, a live entertainment group based in L.A. He also is the former executive vice president for boutique lifestyle agency, The Hozman Group; and former vice president for Triton Media Group. Peters formerly served with ASA Entertainment and SFX/Clear Channel Communications as well.
