LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics announced today that State Farm will be featured on Red Raider football jerseys as the team debuts its recently released “Let’s Ride” uniforms against Houston on Friday, September 18.

The State Farm logo will appear on the specialty jersey that was created in collaboration with adidas and Red Raider alum, and longtime State Farm ambassador, Patrick Mahomes. The all-black uniform features red accents and incorporates Mahomes’ signature Gladiator logo into the design. The jersey placement adds State Farm branding to one of the most visible elements of the Red Raiders’ game-day presentation.

“State Farm is the perfect brand to further enhance the debut of our ‘Let’s Ride’ uniforms from adidas and its Patrick Mahomes brand,” Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. “We look forward to celebrating this partnership Friday night in front of a sold-out Galaxy Stadium and a nationally-televised audience on FOX.”

First introduced in 2024, the Mahomes Strategy collection has become a way for Texas Tech to celebrate Mahomes’ legacy and his continued connection to the program, with each iteration bringing elements of his personal brand and Red Raider roots to the field.

“It’s pretty special seeing Texas Tech, adidas, and State Farm all come together with my Gladiator logo on this uniform,” said Mahomes. “There’s a lot of history and meaning behind the ‘Let’s Ride’ uniform design, and I’m excited to help bring these partners together to share it with Red Raider fans and put it on the field this week.”

Set for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff, the game will air nationally on FOX as part of the network’s 2026 Friday night slate, which features marquee games from across the Big 12 and other conferences. The conference opener between the defending Big 12 champions and Houston is expected to draw millions of viewers nationally in addition to more than 60,000 fans in a sold-out Galaxy Stadium, providing significant visibility for the Red Raiders and State Farm on the “Let’s Ride” jersey.

“Patrick’s connection to Texas Tech is such an important part of his story, so this felt like a natural way to bring our partnership with him to life,” said Kristyn Cook, Chief Agency, Sales & Marketing Officer at State Farm. “The ‘Let’s Ride’ uniform creates a unique moment to celebrate that connection and show up alongside Patrick in a place that means a lot to him and his fans.”

“State Farm is a trusted partner to Learfield and our university partners, and we value the opportunity to continue growing our relationship across college sports,” said Shawn Hegan, Learfield Executive Vice President, Global Partnerships. “We’re proud to work alongside State Farm and Texas Tech to create programs that connect the brand with Red Raider fans and bring the partnership to life in new ways.”

As an official game sponsor, State Farm will have a presence across Red Raider Football and Galaxy Stadium through in-game features, branding and “Let’s Ride” video content on social media. The jersey patch agreement was facilitated by Texas Tech Athletics Partners, the local Learfield team and exclusive multimedia rights holder that oversees all sponsorship agreements on behalf of Texas Tech Athletics.
