PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College Athletics and Learfield announced today (Sept. 14) an agreement with Santander Bank as the first jersey patch partner for Friar Athletics. “Santander’s long standing financial relationship with Providence College has been a key to our success as a growing institution in a challenging market” said John Sweeney, Providence College Senior Vice President for Business and Finance/CFO. “While Santander Bank provides us with all the financial tools to be successful, it is the personal relationships with their team that allows us to truly excel. I am excited about this latest step in our long-term partnership”
This agreement with Santander builds on an existing long-term deal between Providence College, Friar Athletics and Learfield.
“Santander’s long-standing partnership with Providence College reflects our shared commitment to the communities we serve,” said Chris Motl, Head of Commercial Banking at Santander US. “With Santander and Webster now together as a combined bank, we are proud to build on that strong foundation, expand our reach and create new opportunities to connect with Friars fans across Rhode Island and beyond.”
