Rebrand recognizes company’s evolving portfolio, expanded offerings which include development services and a new premium seat for football stadiums
Plano, Texas – Learfield Amplify is the new name for Learfield’s Ticket and Seat Solutions business. The rebrand reflects the evolution of this dedicated business that encompasses ticketing, stadium seating and development services as a critical extension to more than 100 university athletic departments and professional sports franchises.
“We are thrilled to roll out Learfield Amplify which signals a bright future and new opportunities,” said Jake Bye, Learfield Amplify executive vice president. “While the name simplifies and modernizes our business, we remain intently committed to broadening and refining the ways we help our partners succeed, which has never been more important.”
Notably, Learfield Amplify has recognized nearly $5M in total philanthropic donations in 2021 with school partners, as a direct result of a new development offering launched last summer. The University of Memphis is the most recent partner to add a dedicated development team on campus, joining Oklahoma, South Carolina, TCU, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Nearly 20 Learfield Amplify collegiate partners currently receive varying levels of fundraising support.
The business has grown over the years from focusing solely on outbound ticket sales and vinyl seating, to providing its partners an extensive myriad of value-add services. Navigating around the pandemic’s disruption to ticket sales, Learfield Amplify found success for partners in fundraising and closer coordination across Learfield businesses resulting in increased sponsorship revenue. Learfield Amplify also will debut new revolutionary seating products in college football stadiums this fall, improving the fan experience and revenue opportunities for its partners.
“We are thrilled with the partnership we have with the entire Learfield Amplify team,” said Brad Wurthman, Virginia Tech’s senior associate athletics director for external operations. “It was a missing link for our operation and one that enables us to deepen the relationships with our fans, ticket holders, and donors. Their staff have integrated as a critical part of our team, and we are so excited about our shared future.”
According to Matt Wells, West Virginia University’s executive senior associate athletics director for external affairs, “This team has made a very positive impact on the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The resources and expertise they have brought to our operation has helped us sell more tickets while also improving our gameday experience.”
Learfield Amplify welcomed new college ticket sales relationships in 2021 with Ohio State, Air Force, St. Thomas and Vanderbilt, as well as six new partners in development. Additionally, the company continues to support more than 80 schools through stadium seating. By combining the best breed of technology, dynamic industry leadership, and reputable sales and service staff, Learfield Amplify works with universities and professional sports franchises to create engaged relationships with fans and to optimize revenue opportunities. At its roots, the ticketing business was established 11 years ago this month. Seating has been an industry leader in temporary stadium seating for 20 years.
