CBS Sports Network to Televise Four Home Games in 2020 and All Home Games Through 2023 Season

STORRS, Conn. – Today, the University of Connecticut and CBS Sports announced a multi-year television partnership for UConn’s home football games. CBS Sports Network will televise four home games during the 2020 season and all home games through the 2023 season.

“I am excited that we have been able to finalize this multi-year partnership with CBS Sports,” director of athletics David Benedict said.  “CBS Sports is a tremendous brand for our football program to be associated with and I know UConn Nation will be pleased that it will be able to watch the Huskies compete against a compelling group of opponents on a nationally-distributed network.”

“Adding UConn football to our already robust lineup of partners provides more high-quality football content for CBS Sports Network,” said Dan Weinberg, EVP, Programming, CBS Sports. “We look forward to a long and successful relationship with UConn in the years ahead.”

In 2020, CBS Sports Network will televise the contests against Indiana, Liberty, Middle Tennessee and Army. Additional opponents throughout the duration of the deal include teams from the ACC, Big Ten, Conference USA and Mountain West conferences.

The agreement between CBS Sports and UConn Athletics was facilitated by Learfield IMG College, the university’s athletics multimedia rights holder. UConn Sports Properties is the Learfield IMG College Hartford-based team that exclusively represents the Huskies and works alongside Benedict on all aspects of the rights relationship.

Television information for UConn’s three remaining home games in 2020 will be announced in the coming weeks. All game times will be announced at a later date and the schedule is subject to change.

CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour home of CBS Sports, is available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV, DirecTV and Hulu. Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App with select providers.
