Winston Salem, NC (January 9, 2013) – University of Colorado has partnered with IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions to increase attendance and revenues generated from athletic events as well as to enhance customer service when fans purchase tickets. IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions will sell football, men’s and women’s basketball, and volleyball tickets for the CU Buffaloes through plans including new full season, groups, partial plans as well as participate in the renewal process.

“IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions brings us a dedicated outbound ticket sales team that will help increase sales for all of our ticketed sports.  Having these account representatives on board will allow us to be more proactive in our sales efforts reaching out to both individuals and the business community while providing great customer service along the way,” said Matt Biggers, Chief Marketing Officer/Associate AD External Affairs for University of Colorado Athletics.  “Since Learfield Sports holds the multi-media rights to CU Athletics, we believe we’ll be able to capitalize on joint strategies and synergy between the two operations and seamlessly maximize our return.”

“We’re excited to be associated with a school with such great tradition in the growing Pac-12 Conference,” said Matt DiFebo, Managing Director of IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions.  “There’s a lot of excitement around Colorado’s football program with the hiring of new head football coach, Mike MacIntyre, while the school’s basketball program is red hot.”

Nate Christiansen willserve as General Manager of the new operation. Christianson was managing the growing premium sales and season ticket service for Arizona State University. Previously, he held positions as an account executive and season ticket sales rep for the Colorado Avalanche at Kroenke Sports and Entertainment.

Both IMG College and Learfield Sports have a relationship with University of Colorado.  Learfield represents the school’s multimedia rights, while The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, currently serves as trademark representative.

Now with 23 partners, IMG Learfield Ticketing Solutions sells more tickets to university athletic events than any other outsource ticket sales company.  Eight of these schools have passed the $1 million mark in additional ticket revenues, and two, Tennessee and Penn State – have surpassed $4 million in new revenue.  Since IMG entered the ticketing business on January 1, 2011, the ticketing business has generated more than $35 million in ticket revenues to schools.
