Winston Salem, NC (July 10, 2012) – Troy University and The University of Texas El Paso (UTEP) are partnering with IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions to increase attendance and revenues generated from athletic events as well as choice and convenience when fans purchase tickets.

The Troy operation will be managed onsite by Michael Watson, who was one of the top account execs at Tennessee, where IMG College Ticket Solutions set sales records including generating more than $3 million in new ticket sales last year.

“We are excited about our new partnership with IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions,” said Troy Director of Athletics Steve Dennis.  “This offers us a great chance to personalize service for our ticketholders and fans.  IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions is at the forefront of ticket sales in collegiate athletics, and we look forward to working with them to expand the Troy footprint.”

IMG Learfield Ticketing will focus on increasing Troy’s football season and group tickets and growing the fan base for men’s and women’s basketball in the new $31 million Trojan Arena, set to open this August.

“Troy has a great program with rich athletic tradition, particularly since becoming Division 1 in football,” said Matt DiFebo, VP and Managing Director of IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions. “We’re excited to work with an athletics department investing in its future with new facilities and continuing to work hard at enhancing their customer service and growing their fan base.”

In addition to this new relationship, IMG College currently represents the multimedia rights for Troy.

At UTEP, IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions’ professional staff based on campus will focus on increasing the fan bases for football as well as men’s and women’s basketball. A staff of professionals will seek to capitalize on having Oklahoma on the home football schedule this season while building the basketball fan base as UTEP gets ready to host the 2014 Conference USA Tournament.

“IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions has a proven track record of success while working with schools nationwide, including some of the biggest names in college athletics,” said UTEP Director of Athletics Bob Stull. “They have consistently demonstrated the ability to grow fan bases and deliver first-class customer service. We’re really excited about this partnership and expect our fans to wholly benefit from the experience.”

“UTEP has a strong athletics program that’s really on the rise,” DiFebo said. “We believe there’s an opportunity to increase the fan base in football at a terrific facility while building on a rich basketball tradition. We look forward to bringing our proven outbound sales approach with resources right on campus.”

IMG College represents the multimedia and trademark licensing rights for UTEP.
