With team members across the US, the Marketing and Communications team at LEARFIELD is a new organization bringing together several growth engines for the company.  We tell our story in compelling and relevant ways to our various constituents which include marketing leaders and brand sponsors, university athletic departments, and internal employee groups.  We connect brands to fans and bring our partners leading technology, data analytics, and media products, all with a rich legacy and deep understanding of sports, events, and entertainment.

The University Partnerships Manager role will work closely with the marketing, sales and business development teams to effectively market the company and its offerings to our university multimedia rights partners. This role is responsible for overseeing the content creation process to aid the production of marketing campaign materials for LEARFIELD’s multimedia rights partners.


  • Lead creative storytelling of the enterprise messaging and value proposition, to help create a thoughtful sales narrative for current and prospective university partners, with significant focus and management the RFP proposal process from inception to execution, ensuring the messaging strategy is met and all aspects of the RFP requirements are met.
  • Provide creative guidance and instruction to ensure consistent and effective messaging, branding, graphic design, promotional materials, and presenting copy                                                                                           
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, both internally with various departments and across the various LEARFIELD business lines, to ensure a strong value proposition for our University partners.           
  • Assist with outbound/inbound marketing activites by displaying knowledge in certain areas such as meeting/event planning, content creation and reporting  to create the value proposition for our school partners.


  • 4+ years of marketing and go-to-market strategy development experience
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to internal business leaders
  • Experience designing presentations for external customers
  • Experience successfully managing the overall workflow and project timeline, to deliver results on-time
  • Experience successfully managing your own product or large-scale releases (may be internal or external)
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate in writing and verbally to those with a wide range of skill levels and varying position levels within the business
  • Experience in the sports and entertainment industry is a plus
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop/InDesign and/or similar products is a plus
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate in writing and verbally to those with a wide range of skill levels and varying position levels within the business and develop data-driven insights that inform strategy.
