As an integral part of Learfield’s new Always On team and initiative, the Supervising Producer is an extremely important role on the ground at NC State that uses in-depth creative and content knowledge built by years of experience to develop, produce, shoot and edit multiple content-driven executions in partnership with the school. Working closely with the centralized (New York) team of Director, Content and Post Supervisor, they will serve as the on-site representative and collaborate closely with the athletic departments, school production teams, and local staff to ideate, create and execute a robust content offering and calendar that will increase fan engagement across school athletic handles as well as generate revenue opportunities for local Learfield sales staff. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead creation of original video and social content in partnership with school teams to drive fan engagement across social channels and generate revenue opportunities for local sales staff
  • Oversee and manage the development and execution of creative projects from idea generation through final deliverables, including writing, producing, shooting, and editing at NC State
  • Partner with Director, Content and NC State Production Teams on the creative content development for all Learfield led original content opportunities
  • Ideate, Create, Produce, Shoot and Edit 5-8 short-form series a year, with additional cutdowns and deliverables across social platforms
  • Collaborate closely with athletic department content teams to create original content in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, across all platforms, including emerging platforms
  • Produce, write, direct, shoot and edit LEARFIELD live-action shoots at NC State.
  • Maintain deliverables schedule for post production and communicate if issues arise
  • Be last set of eyes to QC content before final deliverables are distributed
  • Revise cuts based on written notes and maintain version control through final deliverable
  • Pitch directly to internal and external partners at school and serve as the point of contact for NC State.
  • Ensure that the quality of our content is always at the highest possible level within budget and schedule constraints
  • Work collaboratively with necessary departments, internally and externally, to ensure all necessary deliverables are provided to ensure success
  • Act as creative lead and supervising producer on all projects in production
  • Manage production and post production schedules and resources at school
  • Act as a liaison between athletic department content team at school and LEARFIELD’s centralized content team and local and national sales
  • Work closely with strategy to optimize distribution and promotion of content and use data as your co-creative director to fine-tune the creative strategy on social

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in the sports or entertainment industry focused on creating, writing, producing, directing and editing video content
  • Must have previous experience with shooting, directing and editing video
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present concepts and strategies to executive leadership
  • Passion for and extensive experience in storytelling to drive engagement with fans/audience
  • Sports and/or entertainment experience a must
  • Must be fluent in Adobe Premieres, After Effects, Frame.IO
  • Ability to own and produce projects and communicate with external partners as main point of contact
  • Experience working with digital, short-form video, social & influencer-driven content.
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Direct experience with content creation pipelines
  • Must have a firm understanding of all aspects of production and post production, including production equipment, lighting techniques, cameras/lenses, audio, guiding the work from production through post
  • Ability to take long form content and edit into cutdown versions for short-form and social media platforms, including the ability to create burnt in closed captioning
  • Must be able to write pitch materials as well as short form scripts
  • Ability to generate new ideas and concepts that might align with a project's initiatives
  • Creativity in deciding how an idea will be interpreted and representing the idea in execution
  • Must contribute to and thrive in a high energy, high profile, positive, proactive, deadline driven, results oriented, and attention to detail environment
  • Strong administrative, critical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ideal candidate has a knowledge of and/or used Airtable
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize many projects at one time in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and precise in his/her work
