The Senior Project Manager plays a crucial role in the Data Strategy and Analytics (DSA) team, supporting the entire business and coordinating development efforts across the Product, Analytics, and Engineering divisions.  The Senior Project Manager functions as the point person for inbound requests to the DSA team, builds project requirement documents, and leads the organization of all team work through Azure DevOps.

The role maintains a pulse on all on-going and future DSA team projects and ensures proper planning through Agile sprint methods.  The role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Products and works closely with members of the Data Strategy and Analytics team, IT, Revenue Strategy & Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Broadcast. This role is essential in managing the work of the DSA team and keeping the team on-track towards its goals.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Function as point person for all inbound requests
  • Build project requirement documents
  • Build and maintain comprehensive project backlog in Azure DevOps
  • Lead biweekly standup calls and ensure team is properly updating tasks/stories on sprint board
  • Coordinate project timelines in conjunction with identified requirements and priorities – all aligned to team’s Agile sprint process
  • Collaborate with manager to report on team output via story points and task/story completion
  • Spearhead documentation efforts in centralized wikis for team to reference
  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies that may impact team products
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment aligned with the company’s value statement

 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in related field
  • Experience managing Agile development process for product team
  • Sports/media/entertainment or sponsorship experience is a plus, but not required
  • Experience working within multi-business unit structure – managing requirements across diverse groups of end users
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of services a major plus (Dynamics, Azure, Service Hub, Power Automate)
  • Well-versed in Agile development processes and principles
  • Ability to document relevant workflows, processes, etc.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and honesty 
  • Able to influence and motivate others through leading by example 
  • Manage time effectively and orchestrate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication, organizational, presentation, and listening skills
