This position's primary role is to be the liaison between key retailers and CLC and its clients. Success in this role consists of finding innovative ways to drive growth for our clients' business at these retailers through product and category development. 

Responsibilities:

  • The role is responsible for managing and developing CLC's relationships with key campus and internet retailers who make up the majority of sales for our schools.
  • In addition to the retail relationships, the person in this role must build strong relationships and trust among schools as well as key licensees.
  •  Strong communication and presentation abilities are of utmost importance to be able to communicate opportunities, problems and solutions internally to staff, along with licensees, retailers and schools.
  • This role works closely across many departments and must be able to adapt to team environments in order to be successful.
  • Day-to-day duties include collecting and sharing retailer updates with schools and CLC staff, problem solving as issues arise with schools and licensees, strategic planning, and data analysis.
  • This role works closely with CLC's Creative, Marketing and Partnerships teams to lead the go-to-market strategies for new marketing and product programs.
  •  The person in this role must have a keen understanding of the retail industry and demonstrate the ability to educate others in order to help them make informed decisions that set schools up for success
  • An ability to use data analysis to make informed recommendations to grow the college business at retail is needed.
  • The role requires approximately 15% travel

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience buying, marketing, planning and/or analysis within the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the retail industry
