The Senior Accountant serves as the primary point of contact for assigned areas of responsibility supporting of the LEARFIELD group of companies (standalone and consolidated) for internal management reporting and external reporting. 


  • Allocate payroll expenses and record biweekly, payroll journal entries
  • Schedule rent payments and record monthly lease activity
  • Maintain the lease software and serve as ASC 842 subject matter expert.
  • Prepare the month end fluctuation file and explain variances.
  • Prepare the consolidated accounts receivable roll forward monthly and review quarterly AR activity with Business Unit Controllers
  • Assist with the design and implement effective financial statement disclosure controls and procedures; financial close.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities for monthly close including preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and other support (i.e., rollforward, transaction support).
  • Design process improvement and information systems enhancements to support the business environment (e.g., ledger maintenance, subledger maintenance, ancillary system maintenance).
  • Serve as Accounting liaison supporting external audit.
  • Perform Adhoc financial analysis and special projects.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of applicable experience
  • Experience with ERP (Great Plains), Report Writer (Prophix or Adaptive Insights),
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • US GAAP experience
  • Multi-location; multi-entity experience
  • Complex entity structure experience
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Effectively communicate verbally and written with cross-functional teams
  • Innovation and problem solving skills
  • Implement new accounting guidance and/or apply existing guidance to new transactions
