The team at SIDEARM provides the technology platform that powers the official websites, mobile apps, statistical integration, live audio and video streaming, and e-commerce platforms of more than  1,500 collegiate athletic partners across the nation, including 300 NCAA Division I programs, and over 50 of the 65 Power 5 athletic departments.  We are proud that the work we do is experienced by millions of sports fans each year. 

We are actively accepting applications for an Manager, Software Development Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will focus on developing and growing a team of front-end and full-stack engineers while working with stakeholders to help drive the engineering decisions to accomplish business initiatives. 



  • Work with stakeholders, engineering leads, and platform teams to determine the best solutions, utilizing a variety of resources to accomplish business initiatives and set the path for success in the future.
  • Work with lead developers to create standards and policies that ensure the release of quality, fully tested, bug-free software.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations, such as SoC2, CCPS and GDPR.
  • Work with direct reports to ensure growth, performance requirements, and overall satisfaction of working at SIDEARM.
  • Hire developers and coordinate their onboarding and training.
  • Help plan and solve complex application solutions at scale.
  • Set the direction and guide the implementation of new features utilizing new technologies.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Proven leadership abilities, working with and building a successful development team
  • Extensive experience developing software at scale with a team, utilizing cloud technologies
  • Hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end development
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies
  • Good understanding of software architecture
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies
  • Excellent project management skills
  • BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field


 We will be extra impressed if you have:

  • Solid experience with ASP.NET/C#
  • Experience with any modern frontend JavaScript framework, Vue/Angular/React/Knockout
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
