LEARFIELD is seeking a Manager, Social Content to oversee the Big 12 Conference. 

Responsibilities:

Big 12 Content Creator (50%)

  • Act as a liaison between Big 12 Sports Properties, national sales and Big 12 Conference for incremental revenue opportunities
  • Lead creation of custom branded social media content for Big 12 Sports Properties to drive revenue opportunities for Learfield IMG College
  • Assist in the creation of content for various social media platforms including but not limited to multimedia audio/video, animation, graphics, and sponsorable content
  • Collaborate closely with conference content teams to create custom branded content (in all forms) in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, across all platforms, including emerging platforms
  • Evaluate, interpret, and decode performance analytics for the purposes evaluating content performance, fan/follower growth strategies, and improving community engagement
  • Expected to attend Conference owned events including but not limited to Championship events, Media Days and other agreed upon events and produce social content in-game
  • Office time will be determined based on time of the year and hybrid work decisions, but will include time at the Big 12 headquarters in Irving, TX (two days a week)

Corporate Initiative Content Creator for Social Division/Media & Partnerships Group (50%)

  • Work as a content creator to assist in the initiatives of a key business group at LEARFIELD.
  • Assist in the creation of content for various local and national sales opportunities driven mostly by video.
  • Assist in the creation of content for various LEARFIELD Corporate Initiatives for the Media & Partnership Division including (but not limited to) National Sales, Partnerships, Broadcast, Social, SIDEARM and Content divisions.
  • Assist in the creation of content for various social media platforms including but not limited to multimedia audio/video, animation, graphics, and sponsorable content
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to create custom branded content (in all forms) in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, across all platforms, including emerging platforms
  • Evaluate, interpret, and decode performance analytics for the purposes evaluating content performance, fan/follower growth strategies, and improving community engagement
  • Office time will be determined based on time of the year and hybrid work decisions, but can include time at the LEARFIELD headquarters in Plano, TX (three days a week)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prefer advanced knowledge of video editing/production, graphic, motion design, photography, and (including Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Front of camera experience preferred but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience successfully working in a creative production environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing creative social content that has driven engagement and results
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for multiple social platforms with a clear understanding for what works best on specific social media channels
  • Demonstrate a proficient understanding of how all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, InstagramTikTok, YouTube and Snapchat) and their communities work, including emerging platforms
  • Prefer previous experience in sports industry and ideally in college athletics
  • Prefer previous experience working with a sales team
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate with other content creators and stakeholders
  • Creative and strategic in nature with the ability to think outside the box and articulate “big ideas”
  • Unquestioned integrity and trustworthiness. Adherence to LEARFIELD, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
  • Ability to travel to local office and Championship owned events including but not limited to Championship events, Media Days and other agreed upon events to produce social content.
