Junior Database Administrator

This position has a heavy emphasis on data working directly with enterprise applications such as but not limited to financial systems, sales systems, and radio broadcast systems

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  •  Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
  •  Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support  their data infrastructure needs.
  •  Utilize the helpdesk ticketing system for break/fix support, security and permissions request tickets on all supported platforms working with the end users to ensure issues have been resolved.
  • Maintain, optimize, upgrade database resources such as Microsoft SQL server, Azure SQL, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced working SQL (On-premise and Azure SSAS) knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Ability to use a variety of API's including such as REST and SOAP API's to query/gather data.
  • Prior experience developing analytical tools and programs.
  • Experience with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics GP and custom applications.
  • Ability to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Ability to implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
  • Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and documents work.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
  • Amazon Redshift and Snowflake a plus
