We are currently seeking a Director, Digital Strategy and Solutions


  • Work with Sales teams on National client accounts on new business opportunities as well as upselling existing and multi-year partnerships for LEARFIELD Digital.
  • Be the go-to LEARFIELD expert on the broad fan engagement platform and suite of digital products at LEARFIELD, including official athletic websites, official social accounts of athletics and teams, custom branded and creative content, eSports, first-second-third party data, digital audio, display/video/social, CTV offerings and the complete digital portfolio across LEARFIELD.
  • Responsible for the growth, revenue, and margin of LEARFIELD digital suite of products with the ability to successfully navigate and drive home our unique and compelling ability to create stronger consumer connections for brands as well as lead/direct towards solutions. 
  • Continued knowledge and understanding of the digital competitive landscape around value propositions and limitations (and subsequently why LEARFIELD Digital is better) to evangelize LEARFIELD Digital value proposition in knowledgeable and effective way.
  • Ability to utilize LEARFIELD Digital knowledge to customize and tailor digital solutions and pricing to best meet client brand needs and objectives.
  • Understand LEARFIELD’s traditional MMR (multi-media rights) product portfolio and how including Digital within the mix, the products work together to deliver compelling solutions and maximum value to brand clients and agencies.
  • Be able to deliver recommendations, pricing and proposals confidently and strategically to clients and agencies, as well as internally to Sales & Partnership (existing accounts) group with conviction. Must have confidence to knowing when to lead/advocate and when to sit back (lead vs. follow).
  • In-depth understanding of campaign metrics and results with the ability to effectively communicate performance, value prop and success to clients (e.g., brand lift, engagement, KPIs, etc.).
  • Work closely and collaboratively on pitches with National Sales, National Marketing Solutions, and Creative to craft unique and compelling digital propositions for brands, bringing to life LIMGC’s unique first party data assets, exclusive portfolio of collegiate IP (Intellectual Property), and Creative capabilities to create award-worthy sponsorships that resemble more content than advertising. Participate in the development of “big ideas” for client pitches alongside Sales and Marketing Solutions, ensuring that we are fully harnessing the power of our data and digital capabilities and that it is priced accordingly.
  • Work closely with other internal teams such as Client Success and Media Activation to ensure partnership runs in a timely manner and successfully. Continued involvement in execution of campaigns and ability to understand performance metrics/results and present that story within client final wrap-up performance report in hopes of upsell.
  • Be responsible for maintaining pipeline accuracy and management of digital opportunities and forecasting.
  • Tap into proactive and entrepreneurial spirit to help inform digital opportunities and positioning with focus on vertical consistencies.
  • Potential for team management.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ experience in Digital Media Sales
    • Previous experience within Social, eSports, SSP/DSP, CTV, DMPs/LiveRamp, Ad Ops, Podcasting, Augmented Reality, Programmatic and other digital products a plus.
    • Strong client/agency relationships experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of working with F100 brands and closing large, strategic deal sizes in annual digital media investment, working both brand direct and with agencies.
    • Media agency experience a plus.
  • Extremely strong presentation skills and ability to answer difficult questions on the fly, in a mature demeanor and professional way in front of senior (C-, SVP level) client and agency decision makers.
  • Strong collaborator, ability to work across disciplines especially traditional and digital media, sponsorships, creative, and audience-based buying.
  • Over communicator – up and down the chain, internally and externally, with strong communication skills and clear direction and answers. Ability to Multitask, Organize and prioritize projects/asks.
  • Proactive and strategic thinker who asks the right questions to develop best solutions, with ability to defend and communicate value propositions of those solutions
