The Digital News Coordinator assists and guides all news networks in making their content available and repurposed via websites, social media and podcasting platforms in order to maximize the sales potential of all content. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with news directors and reporters to repurpose and redirect news and entertainment content.
  • Manage news network websites.
  • Liaison with web and digital developers and designers on behalf of the networks.
  • Work with sales to provide opportunities for their clients to present their messages.
  • Create digital opportunities through formats like Facebook Live. 
  • Boost SEO and engagement using latest social media tools.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

  • Experience with managing news or public affairs web content to reach a large audience 
  • College or technical college degree in appropriate field 
  • Proficiency in most up-to-date digital audio tools
  • Proficiency in WordPress tools 
  • Knowledge of news ethics and practices 
  • College-level writing and editing abilities 
  • Knowledge of state government systems and familiarity with state sports programs
