Position Summary

This role will serve as a subject matter expert in Sponsorship Measurement for LEARFIELD. You'll present measurement data, including explaining “Return On Investment” and impression data and values, to Local Sales teams. You'll also communicate directly with some brand partners about how well their assets have or are expected to perform. The role reports to the Director, Sponsorship Measurement.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end full asset valuations as prioritized by sales leadership
  • Represent the Revenue Strategy and Operations group as a Sponsorship Measurement subject matter expert with direct explanations of numbers and brainstorming storytelling ideas to local sales properties and a select number of brands
  • Ensure the measurement outputs are “presentation ready” with guidance from sellers and sales leadership
  • Develop a working knowledge of in-house media measurement tools, incorporating key data inputs reflecting industry best practices and media measurement standards (e.g. CPMs and quality indexing)
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data exploration, and the presentation of data to understand and communicate to measurement stakeholders
  • Work with the Sponsorship Measurement Director to help optimize the data integration and modeling steps to ensure data sources best support measurement end use cases
  • Inform training and interact with other departments across the organization as a measurement SME
  • Coordinate data aggregation from internal and external data sources for analytics and reporting purposes
  • Maintain and recommend enhancements on Tableau dashboards to demonstrate sponsorship performance and ROI across an extensive network of school properties and brand partners
  • Reinforce and shape the vision for what information should be shared, when, with whom, by what mechanisms, and at what level of detail
  • Engage and collaborate with third party data providers to create mix of best-in-class measurement capabilities and offerings and internal solutions
  • Partner with other internal teams to drive fan surveys, focus groups, and market research studies to evaluate the impact of sponsorship activations
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Experience and Skills Required

  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence role preferably in sports, media, or entertainment
  • Proven ability to use data to analyze, summarize, and communicate results to support business decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Management, Sports Management, Communications or related field
  • Familiarity with valuation tools for various marketing channels, including in-person events, social media, digital campaigns, TV, etc. is preferred
  • Skilled at creating tailored communications for different audiences, including internal sellers, brand partners, management, and data analysts
  • Working knowledge of Tableau is a plus
  • Experience in the sports/sponsorship industry preferred, including knowledge of sports sponsorship inventory and the sponsorship sales process
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Reliable project management abilities, including scheduling, prioritization, hitting deadlines and risk assessment, while engaging stakeholders
  • Able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Familiarity with SQL and databases
