For years, Learfield has placed a tremendous emphasis on the unprecedented value of making a difference in our communities. In early 2011, we developed a relationship with Special Spectators in which we hope to truly make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Special Spectators is a a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that creates magical days for seriously ill children and their families at sporting events across the United States. These magical days are created by providing tickets to games, tailgate parties, stadium and locker room tours, meet-and-greet with coaches, video board recognition and other special surprises and experiences in and around the stadium. Special Spectators is designed to create fun for the entire family and provide a pause from the difficulties they face battling a loved one’s illness.
Through the relationships that we are fortunate to have with athletic departments across the country, we are able to help make connections and grow this admirable mission with our collegiate partners.
Special Spectators doesn’t just TAKE kids to games, but makes them a PART of the games. Click here to view some news articles talking about our partnership with Special Spectators and how we’re trying to making a difference in kids’ lives.
