PRINCETON, N.J. – Learfield, the exclusive multimedia rightsholder for Princeton Athletics, has named Jeff Miller the General Manager of its locally based team, Princeton Sports Properties. Miller is an industry veteran who takes over the GM position with Princeton Sports Properties after spending 17 years leading Learfield’s Vanderbilt Sports Properties team in Nashville.
“I am thrilled to welcome Jeff to the Princeton Athletics family in his role as General Manager with Learfield,” said John Mack, Ford Family Director of Athletics at Princeton. “His career-long passion for developing meaningful and lasting relationships with corporate partners stood out during the interview process. He showed a true appreciation for what Princeton stands for as an athletic department and how we can continue to provide world-class experiences for our student-athletes, fans and corporate partners. I look forward to Jeff and his family joining us in Princeton.”
In his 17 years in Nashville, Miller led the Vanderbilt Sports Properties team to significant increases in property sponsorship revenue and was involved in the successful negotiation of a 10-year football stadium naming rights agreement for FirstBank Stadium, the home of Commodore Football.
Prior to taking the helm at Vanderbilt Sports Properties, Miller spent 18 months with ISP Sports as Assistant Vice President & General Manager of Baylor Sports Properties, quickly leading the property to sponsorship revenue growth during his tenure.
Miller first ventured into the sports industry in golf, holding Sales Manager positions at the PGA Tour’s Marconi Pennsylvania Classic and Champions Tour’s NFL Golf Classic before being named the Vice President and Tournament Director of the Champions Tour’s Constellation Energy Classic.
“We’re delighted to bring someone with invaluable industry experience to the GM position at Princeton,” said Chris Bloomfield, Learfield Vice President of Sports Properties. “Jeff has a terrific track record of success as a Learfield GM and we’re excited to have him guide the Princeton Sports Properties team into the future.”
As General Manager of Princeton Sports Properties, Miller will serve as the primary Learfield liaison related to the university’s comprehensive athletics multimedia rights agreement and corporate partner platform. He will work closely with Mack and the entire athletics administration on all aspects of the relationship between Learfield and Princeton Athletics.
“I’m thrilled to be joining John Mack and the Princeton family,” stated Miller. “This is a wonderful opportunity and I’m looking forward to connecting the Princeton community with local, regional and national brands. Go Tigers!”
Miller holds a pair of degrees from Wake Forest University, completing a bachelor’s degree in Communications in 1989 before earning a master’s degree in Liberal Studies in 1991.
