LUBBOCK, Texas  Texas Tech Athletics and multimedia rightsholder Red Raider Sports Properties, in collaboration with the Emmy Award-winning Learfield Studios team, are excited to announce the release of original series I Am presented by PlainsCapital Bank.

I Am introduces Red Raider fans to the 17 members of the country’s No. 1 ranked transfer class, who have joined Head Coach Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Football program in Lubbock in preparation for the 2025 season. Each feature profiles a transfer expressing what fans can expect from them on the field, sharing their interests off the field, and outlining their paths to Lubbock.

The 17-part series debuts today with subsequent features airing weekly on Texas Tech Athletics social media accounts throughout the spring. Each feature will also be linked to the respective player’s profile page on TexasTech.com.

“The landscape of college football has changed in that schools can bring in instant-impact players such as this transfer class,” stated Joey McGuire, Texas Tech Head Football Coach. “Our challenge this offseason is not only integrating them into our team and our culture but also introducing them to the most passionate fanbase in the country. We are able to do that perfectly in our I Am series.”

The 17 Red Raiders to be featured include defensive linemen Skyler Gill-Howard, Anthony Holmes Jr. and Lee Hunter, linebacker Romello Height, defensive backs Dontae Balfour, Amier Boyd, Tarrion Grant, Brice Pollock and Cole Wisniewski, quarterback Mitch Griffis, running back Quinten Joyner, wide receiver Reggie Virgil, tight end Terrance Carter Jr., offensive linemen Will Jados, Howard Sampson and Hunter Zambrano, and kicker Upton Bellenfant.

“This is an exciting addition to the TexasTech+ platform that will work wonders in engraining this class of transfers into our fanbase,” added Rick Leach, Vice President and General Manager of Red Raider Sports Properties. “It’s a terrific advantage on game days to have our fanbase bought in with each of our new players before they even see them play a down, and we’re grateful to PlainsCapital Bank for helping make that opportunity possible.”

All 17 features from the I Am presented by PlainsCapital Bank series can also be streamed on TexasTech+ as they become available.
