ATLANTA – Learfield and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association name State Farm as the title sponsor of the inaugural WBCA Showcase, an 8-team, 6-game women’s basketball event taking place Nov. 21-24 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

The WBCA Showcase tips off Thursday, Nov. 21, and continues Nov. 23-24, with all six contests taking place inside the State Farm Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The event features Georgia, Jacksonville, Louisville, Marshall, Mississippi State, Penn State, South Florida and Tulsa.

“Having such an influential and supportive brand join us for the inaugural WBCA Showcase is an incredible benefit,” stated Danielle Donehew, Executive Director of the WBCA. “We are thrilled to have their sponsorship as we build this into a premier event in women’s basketball and college athletics.”

In addition to title sponsorship of the WBCA Showcase, State Farm will have their logo prominently displayed on-court in five places – as part of the center court event logo and standalone on both hashmarks and in both coaches’ boxes – providing premium television visibility, and in its well-known place on each goal stanchion.

As part of the official WBCA Showcase logo, State Farm will receive additional brand exposure via social media and in-venue marketing assets such as game programs, while the State Farm logo will also be present on various in-venue signage locations throughout State Farm Fieldhouse.

“State Farm is a terrific sponsor for us and has shown incredible support for women’s athletics for many years,” added Lori Bland, Vice President of National Partnership Management at Learfield. “We are excited to pair their brand with another high-profile event in the WBCA Showcase.”

The relationship between the WBCA and State Farm was facilitated by Learfield’s corporate business development team, which has partnered with State Farm for various college sport sponsorships across the country for decades.
