Norman, OK (November 8, 2024) — Learfield’s Sooner Sports Properties, Nissan and University of Oklahoma Athletics announce an expansion of its partnership, bringing the Nissan brand front and center to Sooner basketball fans this season. Nissan will debut its logo on the court at Lloyd Noble Center starting today, November 8, when the No. 10-ranked Oklahoma women’s basketball team takes on Virginia. The logo will be prominently displayed in two locations on the playing surface for all men’s and women’s basketball games during the 2024-25 season.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with the University of Oklahoma Athletics and align our brand with such a prestigious program,” commented Nissan North America. “This partnership represents a unique opportunity to drive growth and affinity with the passionate Sooner fan base while supporting collegiate athletics in a meaningful way.”
As part of the sponsorship, Nissan will gain extensive visibility through its logo’s placement on court, television broadcasts, and digital platforms. Oklahoma also features Nissan branding on television-viewable signage, venue LED screens, and through in game highlights featured digitally on the official athletics website soonersports.com, and other fan engagement platforms.
“As we continue our work with top-tier partners like Nissan, we’re proud to help deliver impactful sponsorship opportunities that boost brand visibility while supporting Oklahoma’s commitment to athletic excellence,” said Lori Bland, Vice President of National Partnership Management, Learfield.
“Oklahoma Athletics is a special program steeped in tradition with incredible fans. We’re proud to connect Nissan with Sooner fans through signage and on-court logos to provide an integrated experience,” said Kelly Collyar, Vice President, General Manager at Sooner Sports Properties.
Sooner Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the media and technology company powering college sports – is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Oklahoma Athletics and handles all sponsorships, in-venue signage, and advertising on behalf of the university.
