BURLINGTON, Vt. – New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) and Vermont Athletics are extending and expanding their existing partnership to add presenting sponsor rights for the 2024 Catamount Women’s Soccer season in an agreement with Learfield’s Vermont Sports Properties.

The Vermont-based NEFCU has been a partner of UVM Athletics for the past decade, signing on as the presenting sponsor of the Vermont Men’s Soccer Season in 2023 and is excited to replicate their support with the Women’s soccer program for the upcoming season.

“UVM Women’s Soccer and NEFCU are rooted in Vermont and we look forward to growing this relationship in the community we are so invested in. We are thrilled for this partnership and are excited for the season ahead,” said University of Vermont Women’s Soccer Head Coach Kristi Huizenga.

In addition to providing a sponsorship presence across all Vermont athletic facilities, the relationship between New England Federal Credit Union and the Catamounts extends beyond the field to the classroom with NEFCU providing vital financial education to all first-year student-athletes.

“We’re delighted to build on our long-time partnership with UVM Athletics and continue supporting our student-athletes on the field and with their finances,” said Sarah Ricker, community relationship manager at NEFCU. “We can’t wait to cheer on the Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams and see our community rally around the Catamounts this season.”

The Vermont Women’s Soccer program is coming off of a 10-win season in 2023 and celebrated its first America East Conference title in 2021, leading to an NCAA Tournament berth. The Catamount Men’s Soccer team has tallied 13-plus wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive seasons with a historic run to the national quarterfinals in 2022 that led to a No. 4 national ranking at the end of the season.

Vermont Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the media and technology company powering college sports – is the exclusive multimedia rights holders for University of Vermont Athletics and handles all sponsorships and in-venue signage and advertising on behalf of the Catamounts.
