NEW ORLEANS – Tyler Thompson has been appointed general manager for Tulane Sports Properties, as announced today by the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder, LEARFIELD.

Thompson joined the TSP team last November as its Manager of Business Development after spending the past three years at Utah State as the Manager of Business Development for Aggie Sports Properties.

Prior to his time in New Orleans, Thompson spent four years at Louisiana Tech University. With the Bulldogs, Thompson served as the Coordinator of Partnership Services, and the Coordinator of Business Development for the LA Tech Sports Properties team.

Thompson, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, graduated from Louisiana Tech with an undergraduate degree in Sports Marketing and an MBA with a focus in Finance.

“I am beyond excited to return to my home state and work for such a prestigious institution like Tulane,” Thompson said. “I look forward to continuing the growth of the Green Wave brand and helping generate meaningful and lasting partnerships within the New Orleans community. I would like to thank Troy Dannen, Jana Woodson, Tulane Athletics and my LEARFIELD leadership team for allowing me this opportunity to continue growing in my career here at Tulane.”

Tulane Sports Properties, the New Orleans-based LEARFIELD team dedicated solely to representing the Green Wave, works in complete collaboration with Tulane University Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Troy Dannen and the entire athletics administration.

“We are thrilled to keep Tyler,” said Jana Woodson, Tulane’s Deputy Athletic Director, External Operations. “His energetic approach and experience in the region have served him well and we’re excited to see that continue here at Tulane.”
