COLUMBUS, Ohio – Cohesion Foundation, the 501c3 nonprofit organization that benefits Ohio State student-athletes and local charities, will be presenting sponsor of a 50/50 raffle at the Buckeyes’ noon spring game on Saturday, April 15.

Fans coming to Ohio Stadium for the LiFEsports Spring Game, presented by Union Home Mortgage, are invited to participate in the 50/50 raffle. A first for the Buckeyes, the raffle is sponsored and administered entirely by Cohesion through an agreement with LEARFIELD’s Ohio State Sports Properties, the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder.

Cohesion launched exactly one year ago this month to provide purpose-driven name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities for student-athletes across all Buckeye sports. The nonprofit is an official sponsor of Ohio State Athletics and also an associate sponsor of Buckeyes Care and the Ohio State Four Miler. The 50/50 raffle is open to anyone who attends the spring game, including faculty and staff. Half of the proceeds go to the winning ticket holder, with the other half benefitting student-athletes and local charity partners of Cohesion Foundation.

A raffle is a game of chance where people pay money to buy tickets that give them chances of winning prizes. The winner is randomly drawn from among all of the people who entered. The 50/50 raffle, presented by Cohesion Foundation, will resume during the 2023-24 football and basketball seasons, as well as other select home Ohio State athletic competitions.

“We are beyond excited for this great opportunity to have a fun raffle for fans and also continue to fundraise to support purpose-driven NIL and our Cohesion Foundation charities,” said Cohesion Founder Gary Marcinick. “Cohesion Foundation has been pairing student-athletes with Central Ohio charities for the past year, and we have seen the impact this has on not only the nonprofit they are helping but also the athlete.”

At the spring game, fans will be able to spot 50/50 raffle ticket sellers wearing a green vest with the Cohesion Foundation logo and “50/50 raffle” printed on the front. Raffle ticket sellers will have a handheld device that will allow the ticket buyer to complete their purchase in seconds and have their numbers printed out on a ticket. Sellers will accept cash, credit, and debit payments. Buyers also can purchase through a QR code that will be displayed at the game.

Tickets will be sold at a rate of 5 for $10, 20 for $20, 85 for $40, and 400 for $100. Sales begin Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and the winning ticket number will be announced in the 4th quarter.

The 50/50 raffle will be handled by Rafflebox, a certified and accredited digital platform that enables major league programs to create and manage high-volume raffles.
