Veteran Media Executive Begins Role Today

PLANO, Texas – Peter Lori has been named CFO for LEARFIELD as announced by President and CEO Cole Gahagan.

Lori joins LEARFIELD after three decades of experience with progressive responsibilities in finance, most recently as the chief financial officer for Univision Communications Inc. His 17-year career there culminated with the merger of Grupo Televisa’s media content and production assets and Univision. The merger finalized at the beginning of 2022, establishing the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company that unlocked tremendous value for the two companies and enabled the creation of a global streaming business. Prior to Univision, Lori was a client service partner for KPMG and Arthur Andersen serving global Fortune 500 accounts.

Lori, who will report to Gahagan and join LEARFIELD’s leadership team, will be relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area to office in the company’s Plano headquarters.

“Pete is a recognized leader in his profession, and we’re thrilled to have him join LEARFIELD,” said Gahagan. “We welcome his valuable insight and perspective as chief financial officer for our company and as a member of our leadership team. As we continue to remain intently focused on innovating for our school and brand partners, he brings a wealth of knowledge from inside a respected media company.”

“I am thrilled to be joining LEARFIELD as it continues to extend its leadership in media, technology, and data in college sports,” said Lori. “With its established relationships and innovative capabilities, the company is uniquely positioned at a very exciting time in intercollegiate athletics. I look forward to working alongside Cole and the entire leadership team to drive profitable growth.”
